Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition launches, with 300 being made inspired by the new Bond film, "No Time to Die"!
The 'Q' Touch, what makes it different?
The new Land Rover Defender Bond Edition uses the recently launch Defender V8 as its base; powered by an incredible 5.0L V8 Supercharged petrol engine with a staggering 525 BHP. With a top speed of 149 MPH and a 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, this is a true powerhouse competing with the likes of the SVR. Whilst 'Q' may not have actually been involved in the design and production of this car, it was designed and spec'd by the intelligent minds of the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team at Land Rover.
According to Land Rover, the Bond Edition "delivers new levels of performance and driver engagement by combining the V8 with expertly developed suspension and transmission tuning to create the fastest and most dynamically rewarding Defender yet."
"No Time to Die"
No Time to Die is the latest film in the Bond series launching in cinemas on 30 September 2021 following lengthy delays in filming and production due to Covid. Land Rover have featured extensively in Bond films in the past. In fact, they have featured in them for the last 38 years! No Time to Die includes plenty of Defenders, as well as two Range Rover Sport SVRs, a Range Rover Classic and a Land Rover Series III.
How do I get one?
Well, firstly, you don't need to be an elite spy or secret agent to order one of these. However, you will need to be prepared to pay the impressive £105k+ price tag. With only 300 of these being made worldwide, it is safe to assume that there will also be a waiting list complete of wealthy individuals keen to add this rare beast to their collection. The Land Rover website does not include any information on how to place an order for one of these cars.
Whilst Pendle Lease are able to offer all makes and models of cars, including the conventional models of Defender, we won't be able to supply you a 007 Bond Edition unfortunately!
